The Science and Engineering Building

This nine-storey building, completed in March 2019, brings together the Schools of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Learning Environments, while also housing the Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab with world-class performance spaces, alongside the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre in the Basement. Winner: 2019 MBA Award for Excellence in Construction

The Electrical Engineering Building

The project to refurbish the Electrical Engineering Building, completed in February 2019, features Australia’s largest software-defined networking and Internet of Things research test lab, Australia’s first quantum engineering teaching laboratory and an Advanced Design Lab. Winner: 2019 MBA Award for Excellence in Construction

The Biological Sciences Buildings

Through shared corridors and atriums biological scientists in the world-class facilities of the Biolgoical Science South, completed in 2018, and Biological Sciences North, completed in 2019, will work alongside biomedical students in adjacent Wallace Wurth Building and Lowy Cancer Research Centre. Winner: 2018 MBA Award for Excellence in Construction and 2019 MBA Award for Excellence in Construction

The Clancy Auditorium

As UNSW celebrates its platinum jubilee, UNSW invested in refurbishing the Clancy Auditorium to create a world-class setting for UNSW graduands. Completed in October 2019, the foyers and building façade were enhanced both internally and externally to create a statement which truly reflects UNSW’s status as a global university.

The Roundhouse

The Roundhouse refurbishment completed in 2018 included a reglazing of the facade and skylight, new energy efficient engineering services and new timber interiors creating a fresh and inviting space for events. Winner: 2019 Australian Institute of Architects with an Award for Sustainability.

The UNSW Bookshop

UNSW recently invested in refurbishing the popular store into a vibrant social and cultural destination on campus centred around books with a new pocket cafe. This world-class venue was recognised in 2019 with multiple industry commendations.
