Estate Management at UNSW manages 203 buildings across 31 campuses from Kensington, the CBD, Randwick, Cliffbrook, Paddington, Manly Vale and UNSW Canberra, teaching areas at seven hospitals, research spaces at seven field stations, and runs four clinical schools.

Our field stations span the state from Smiths Lake to Stuart Town, Fowler’s Gap, Wellington, Hay, Cowan and the Sliding Spring Observatory at Coonabarabran.

Our aim at UNSW is to improve and transform lives through excellence in research, outstanding education and a commitment to advancing a just society. At Estate Management we are focussed on defining and developing the future campus experience in order to transform and provide the best experience for our 7,000-strong research community and 62,000 students.

We are committed to delivering an outstanding campus experience for all through our Current Projects and Estate Improvement Pipeline to provide our students and staff with  the best possible learning and research environment.

Estate Management is responsible for the planning, development and asset management of existing and future spaces as well as the construction, completion and handovers of new buildings, and refurbishments.

The work of Estate Management also includes managing the behind-the-scenes work which keeps UNSW operating efficiently from facilities maintenance, greenkeeping our sports fields and green spaces to managing outdoor event bookings and shuttle buses.

To ensure the safety of all on campus, we are equipped with a security team who are available 24/7 to respond to any incident as the need arises. Managing everything to do with getting here and getting around from maps to transport to parking, we are here to help get you to where you need to be.

We strive to embed sustainability principles into all that we do led by our Sustainability team. UNSW has committed to an Environmental Sustainability Plan 2019-21 (ESP) with ten key focus areas from climate action, waste and recycling to energy and water efficiency.
